OneCNC Series Updates

This is a history of all OneCNC updates.

You may notice sometimes there can be a jump in version numbers.

This is due to intensive and continual internal testing where we thoroughly test versions before releasing proven functional updates.

OneCNCXR4 20.59

Applicable to all versions of OneCNCXR4

IMPORTANT UPDATE ALL USERS of OneCNCXR4

Important adjustments have been made to the saving function to overcome some technical issues encountered of the various Windows operating systems that OneCNC supports.

New functionality for OneCNCXR4 Mill Expert

Four new modelling functions have been added to OneCNCXR4 Mill Expert

.

These are all tools by popular request mainly from our Mould maker users.

The tools are fairly self explanatory.

1. Remove hole or pocket
This completely removes the hole or pocket, allowing the user to put a new one in a different place or different size etc.

2. Extend a surface
This is a handy tool for many uses in modelling or machining. Just click the edge of the surface and it will be extended by the nominated amount with the same continuity as the surface being extended.

3. Un-trim a surface
This just un-trims the surface back to the original surface enabling holes to be blanked or pockets to be closed etc.

4. Create intersection geometry
Does exactly as describes, it will create intersecting geometry between 2 models etc.

These new functions are just now standard features of functionality in OneCNCXR4 Mill Expert.

OneCNCXR4 20.58

Applicable to all milling versions of OneCNCXR4

New Functionality:

HS Pocket Rough

OneCNC HS Pocketing open and closed is now automatically optimized and tuned so when using it in conjunction with the rest roughing it removes all possible to leave minimal amount of travel for the rest roughing to complete. Together with this arc posting is automatically utilized for code size reduction resulting in faster processing memory reduction and the increased speed of DNC if utilized.

HS 3D Z Level Roughing

OneCNC HS Z level roughing has been optimized and tuned to use arc posting in accordance with the set surface machining tolerance and tuned to minimize the rest roughing if used in conjunction with the Z level roughing. Together with this arc posting is automatically utilized for code size reduction resulting in faster processing memory reduction and the increased speed of DNC if utilized.

Z Level finishing

OneCNC Z level finishing has been optimized to use arc posting in accordance with the machining tolerance setting. This now assists in the optimization of machining speed as well as the DNC speed where utilized as well as the reduction in code and memory requirements.

Applicable to all versions of OneCNCXR4

Additions:

New functionality for OneCNCXR4 Solid Creator:

New Added module available for OneCNCXR4 Mill Expert, Professional, Lathe Professional and Wire EDM.

This functionality and module provides automated ability of automatically creating a paper-space 2D drawing from a 3D model.

This module is a SEPARATE ADDED COST if required.

Contact your sales office for an online look-see to this quite stunning addition to the software especially if you are providing shop or customer drawings. This is an automated way of providing very professional paper-space 2D drawing with minimal user input..

New functionality and additions to OneCNCXR4 Milling Series.

HS pocketing in the OneCNCXR4 has been further optimized to assist saving machining time and using less memory. The roughing when used in conjunction with HS rest machining has now been streamlined to fully clear where possible all small pieces so that the second rest operation only has to machine where the first tool path could not fit rather than other areas as well which provides much greater efficiency.

The HS pocketing has now been optimized to take advantage of using arc NC code where possible assisting the older machines with limited memory.

There will be further advantages coming in the 3D HS machining area after completion of our extensive testing program.

New Turbo Mode Simulation Functionality:

Due to our many aerospace users, mould makers and patternmakers reporting that they are very pleased with the functionality of OneCNC and have been requesting that we accommodate more speed in the simulation and rest checking of huge 3D files.

The turbo mode is purely designed for speed of large 3 axis files because the non turbo simulation is meant for default speed only or less to obtain full simulation because on some PC's skipping of detail can occur on speeds above default.

We have been extensively working on that and are now pleased to release a new turbo facility.

We have released our new Turbo Mode simulation engine that has for simplicity of use been combined with our solids machining simulation functionality to provide speeds that are quite stunning in the time saved on huge 3D files. While it does not have a use in the small and average file size we responded to their requests to accommodate huge files. Many users have moved over from other CAD-CAM due to the unique functionality of the OneCNC HS machining.

This Turbo mode ability is simply turned on in the simulation dialog by tagging the Turbo tag.
The Turbo tag operates automatically and is not available in all situations with all functions.
Turbo Mode is automated and the tag is available for the functions that it is used with.
Turbo mode does not support tapered style tools like tapered end mills or engraving tools.
Turbo Mode does not apply to multi-axis because it is a 3 axis function.
Turbo Mode does not support interactive sectioning sectioning.

The whole purpose of Turbo Mode is for huge files using end mill or ball mill or drilling operations. The main areas it is available for is 3D 3 axis machining from stock boundary and stock extents. The Turbo tag is not available in stock model mode or multi axis mode.

Adjustments:

The modelling engine has been changed and updated to allow the paper-space functionality and has been improved in the areas of filleting and other model healing abilities.

Translators have been updated in conjunction with any received reports.

The surfacing functions have been adjusted due to various actual reports received.

New default screen colours:

Due to popular request the default colours for the drawing screen and simulation screens are now Grey Gradient rather than blue. Blue and all the other colours are of course still available and will be still set.

New Cursor

Due to the improved quality of LCD screens we had requests for adjusting the drawing screen cursor which has been done to popular request.

Languages:

There have been adjustments to Japanese German Danish Polish languages inline with the new functionality as well as adjustments.
